Mullá Husayn: A Journey of Faith
Inspired by The Dawn-Breakers, this painting portrays Mullá Husayn-i-Bushrú’í and his companions travelling from Khurásán toward Mázindarán beneath the Black Standard, raised at the instruction of the Báb. Their journey became inseparable from the faith, courage, and sacrifices of His early followers.
Mullá Husayn, the first to believe in the Báb and honoured with the title “Bábu’l-Báb”—“the Gate of the Gate”—holds a distinguished place in Bahá’í history. His life reflects a sincere search for truth, the courage to embrace it, and steadfastness through adversity.
The rider’s resolute gaze and the companions travelling beside him express my artistic interpretation of devotion, hope, and the spiritual strength of faith.
Inspired by Bahá’í history, this artwork comes from my own imagination. Its figures and visual details are an artistic interpretation rather than a documented historical likeness.
