In the poetry of Rumi, Sama is far more than a dance. It is a spiritual journey—from the self toward truth, from stillness into motion, and from separation toward unity.
In this painting, the flowing garments, the wind-swept hair, and the graceful movement express more than physical motion. They reflect the soul released from the limits of the material world, turning endlessly in search of the Eternal Beloved. Every fold of fabric, every delicate line, and every color echoes an inner melody that calls the human heart toward love, beauty, and awakening.
The soft whites and vibrant blues symbolize purity, serenity, and the vastness of the heavens, while the touches of gold represent the light that guides the seeker’s path through life’s uncertainties.
With this work, I sought to capture the moment when the boundaries between body and spirit dissolve, and the individual becomes part of an infinite rhythm of love and existence.
Sama is an invitation to listen to the silent music of the soul—a dance in which every turn brings us closer to love, freedom, and oneness.
